Cast clear casting resin into a silicon mold?

Hi I was wondering. Can I cast clear casting resin into a silicon mold ?

Thanks for responding.Cast clear casting resin into a silicon mold?
There are clear resins (thermoset plastics) that can be cast into silicone molds. Not all resins and silicone types are compatible, though, you need to check with the supplier.

There are 4 readily available plastic types that produce clear castings: Polyester, Acrylic, Epoxy and Polyurethane. Each has its own applications, pros and cons.

Most clear resins will need to be cured in a pressurized tank to get a casting that is 100% free of included air bubbles.Cast clear casting resin into a silicon mold?

Yes you can, check out ';Por-a-mold'; on Dick Blick's site. Also some local art supplies stores carry both silicon mold kits %26amp; clear resins. Expect a huge mess, but you can do it.
